Marko Osala
Hailing from the vast western plains of Finland, Marko fulfils most requirements for the rough, gloomy and silent stereotype of the region. Surprisingly enough, Marko has created most of Aurifaber collections. A whisky connoisseur whose skills as a goldsmith are almost equal to his collection and expertise in matters of malt. One of the founders of Aurifaber.

Erkki Varjonen
Keeps the Aurifaber wheels rolling, largely powered by triple espressos and Red Bull. Says he is trying to learn kendo, which in Erkki language stands for years of intensive training. Has lived in various parts of Finland, collecting several peculiar local traits along the way. One of the founders of Aurifaber and President of The Finnish Goldsmith Association.

Petri Malinen
For Petri, the keyword is precision – in addition to being a goldsmith he is one of the finest archers in Finland. Equipped with uncanny luck and slightly warped sense of humour, he fits in perfectly with the others, having joined Aurifaber in 2005. Comes from the city of Lahti, traces of which can still be spotted in him.

Jari Hänninen
The Aurifaber engraver joined the team in 2005. Engravings with beautiful handwriting are Jari’s field of expertise. And when he puts oil on canvas, the gloomy, gothic fantasy art he creates is probably not the most obvious thing you would expect from a chap with such a mellow appearance. His own jewellery collection can be found at www.japedesign.com.
